And now for the sad news…
A few weeks ago we mentioned that Take Control, the son of A.P. Indy and Azeri formerly named Vallenzeri, was back from outer space and entered in the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita. We mentioned it primarily because no one else seemed to be.
He ran last in that race and broke down while training this morning at Santa Anita.

Take Control had some obvious issues with all the layoffs in his schedule. The fact he wasn't retired was terrible mismanagement.
